CT Fashion Magazine: Madison Avenue turned into art exhibit, huge runway

Madison Avenue was transformed into NYFW’s longest runway with a Public Art Exhibition “The Language of Fashion” by SVA students, hosted by the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District. On view from September 8th through 15th running from 61st to 79th Streets.

Curated by Linda Fargo and mentored by: Altuzarra, Rosie Assoulin, Francisco Costa, Jennifer Csengody, Delpozo, Alber Elbaz, Erdem, Linda Fargo, Geoff Howell, Naeem Khan, Minika Ko, Michael Kors, Ayanat Ksenbai, Humberto Leon, Carol Lim, Phillip Lim, Adam Lippes, Proenza Schouler, Jonathan Simkhai, Isabel and Ruben Toledo and Jason Wu.

Minika Ko's atelier turned the below four art displays into couture garments for the actual runway show for the event.
